This has only a few crochet in it. I saw this upcycling idea somewhere on the Internet.
You cut the lower part of a shirt into ribbons, then you knot. It gets more and more narrow the more rows of knots you make. But jersey is stretchy, so I don’t have problems to put it on.
I didn’t like the round neck. I cut a hole and crocheted a small stripe in Tunisian crochet which I crocheted together after pulling it through the hole.
I think I’ll wear it in belly dance class if summer ever comes this year. Well, at least I’m ready …
So I tried another pattern from Stitch’n’Bitch Crochet and I like the result. This is the link to the ravelry page of this pattern. Maybe another color than graying would have looked better and you could see the structure on this picture, but it’s OK. I wanted it to look gypsy-ish and I think it does. This is exactly the skirt I want to wear it on. Hope to get the chance to wear it soon.
It’s finally done, but not big enough to wear wrapped around one’s shoulders. Think I have to get another 2 skeins.
It’s made from a Russian pattern. I only looked at the chart. I’ll post the link as soon as I find it again.
In the background you can see what my mother did to the hat I crocheted her for Mother’s Day. Creative, isn’t it?
These earrings are for myself. I made them from the pattern in the current Crochet Today issue. They look a bit different from the originals because my earrings are 1 cm larger in diameter. But I even like them more this way.
This is what I crocheted yesterday (and the last bit today). I made it for a friend’s birthday. I so hope she likes it and it fits her!
By the way, I made up this pattern … I’ll make one more belly dance bra for myself and I’ll write down all the steps. I’ve got that lemon colored cotton yarn which I would love for that project!
