For Easter Eggs: The EGGEATERS

It is January, I know. But spring will come sooner than we probabely expected. I recommend starting to crochet now! Here is a free pattern I made for keeping eggs warm during the next breakfast. Have fun crocheting! Lydienne

What you need:

  • yarn “Zeeman royal” (I used pink, red, indigo, lilac and for the eyes black and white)
  • hook 4.00 mm
  • yarn needle

Body

ch 4, join with sl st to form ring

Round 1: ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc into ring (12 dc), do not join!

Round 2: *2 dc into first st, 1 dc into next* repeat till end of round (18 dc)

Round 3: *2 dc into first st, 1 dc into next 5* repeat (21 dc)

Round 4 and 5: dc around (21 dc)

Round 6: sk one st, sl st into next, *sc 1, ch 3, sl st into first of ch-3, sl st into next st* repeat till end of round (10 picots)

FO, weave in ends

Eye

In white:

ch 2

Round 1: 6 sc into second ch from hook

Round 2: 2 sc into ea st of round before (12 sc)

sl st and FO leaving a tail for sewing

In black:

ch 2

Round 1: 4 sc into second ch from hook, join with sl st

FO, leaving a tail for sewing

Sew the black pupil onto the white eyeball. Then sew eye to body.

Now let them eat eggs!!
